Even 9 Volt Batteries can be DANGEROUS...
We cannot stress enough the importance of education, knowledge and safety practices when it comes to using and working with ELECTRICITY.
As our post title implies, even something as common and seemingly "harmless" like a 9 VOLT battery can cause devastating losses in property and life.
Not only is a little 9 volt packed with enough power to be a hazard, the danger is amplified by the design of the battery itself. Unlike AA, AAA, C, D, and "pill" style cells, which have the +/- poles on opposing ends of the battery, 9 VOLTS have BOTH positive and negative terminals on the TOP, or the SAME end of the battery, making it easier for a conductive material to accidentally complete a circuit, and ignite a fire.
